Registered Massage Therapy FAQ's
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you're comfortable in. Depending on the treatment, it may be helpful to remove clothing in the areas we'll be working on, but you are absolutely welcome to remain fully clothed or undress to your comfort level. You'll always be professionally draped, and only the area being treated will be uncovered..
Should massage therapy be painful?
I strongly believe that massage doesn't have to be painful to be effective. I encourage open communication throughout your treatment and will always work within your comfort level. If you'd like more or less pressure at any time, just let me know. You are always in charge of your treatment.
How often should I come for treatment?
There's no one size fits all answer. It depends on your goals, your schedule, your extended health benefits, and how your body responds to treatment. Some clients come in with an acute injury that benefits from a few appointments closer together, while others come regularly for maintenance and space their treatments out based on what works best for them. We'll decide on a treatment plan together that fits your needs.
Is your practice trauma-informed?
Yes. I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and client-centred environment. Your comfort, consent, and autonomy are always respected. You are welcome to ask questions, request modifications, or stop treatment at any time. My goal is for every client to feel safe, heard, and supported throughout their care.
Is your clinic LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive?
Yes. I welcome clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and family structures. I believe everyone deserves healthcare where they feel safe, respected, and heard, it is important to me to provide that experience for every person who comes through my door.
